![]() But be prepared to all in him the moment he burns W and/or ults you first. This does NOT mean to stand next to his shadow and tank everything. Fighting zed is about positioning and watching the shadow. Don’t just spam your abilities and hope to hit him. Also it’s best to bait out his R before you actually all in him, let him use it to engage you then take the fight. In these cases, it’s best to line him up with his shadows so you end up hitting both anyways even if he tries to switch (he will always come out behind you). In all honesty it’s not too hard to out trade the Zed, a bad habit Zed players have it to either hold onto abilities “to dodge” or they just flat out get blood thirsty and all in you. If not and you land everything practice my advice, you’ll have a better time. a lot of the time you probably are losing trades because you miss your abilities, that’s just something you have to get good at mechanically. (Notice I say this only works early try this later and you’ll end up taking a lot more dmg) This is so that his combos won’t do full dmg and you should be able to gap close. Lastly, stand in your minion wave when poking early game. Playing against Zed in that reactionary type manner will make you have a crappy time. Don’t wait till you see him already in bot lane to make your move. Don’t get caught up in the Zed pace with ganking, you need to play by what your own champ is strong at, if you can take a fight top, bot or even in enemy jg, then gank that, good Zed players only gank lanes they know they can get picks in, also if you plan to counter gank, you need to make your decisions right away. If you see him leave lane and he ends up bot and it’s too late for you to counter gank him, just keep farming and catch up, if you waste time ganking top when he is fighting bot then you’re just even more behind. Lastly, you need to know how to roam vs zed, just ganking an opposite lane isn’t good enough to stop him and neither is just pinging. It might put you behind, but with roaming and enough farm you’ll end up popping off anyways. It’ll shit on him 100% guaranteed, a lot of people who have trouble against Zed are better off first building a stop watch item. Item wise, just first item a guardian angel. If you take conqu, you should play for your level three, and it might sound risky but at level 3 if you are running conqu you should play a more slow q poke before you go in on him with a full combo, fleet is of course the safer option but you can snowball with conqu. Ideally if you’re taking fleet you should be in his face post lvl 3 and q poking him as often as you can. I main zed and I think I’ve only lost to a Yone once, you can start by actually understanding how the fleet or conqu trades should go.
